Hillsborough County 2026 Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Guide
The Hillsborough County Emergency Management team works year round to ensure we are ready to respond to hurricanes or any other type of disaster.
We want all County residents to be prepared too, by knowing your zone and having a plan.

Sign Up for HCFL Alerts
HCFL Alert is Hillsborough County's official mass notification system, designed to keep you informed about emergencies and certain non-emergency events in the County.
Sign up for real-time information on when evacuation zones are called and when you have to go.
Are you in a Mandatory Evacuation Zone?
The Hurricane Evacuation Assessment Tool (HEAT) assists Hillsborough County residents in determining if they are in one of the five evacuation zones. Search evacuation information by owner name, address, or parcel using the map to learn if a property is in Zone A, B, C, D, or E.
Zone A is the first to evacuate, along with all manufactured and mobile homes in the county. All manufactured and mobile homes are always included in Zone A even if they are inland.
