Just across the Polk County line in Lakeland, FL is the Bonnet Springs Park. Come play and learn for free at the Bonnet Springs' Nature Center where interesting exhibits and family-friendly events take place. Also on site is the Florida Children's Museum which, for an admission of up to $20 (though plenty of discounts exist), children can enjoy hands-on learning with a variety of permanent and traveling exhibits.
